Sunday Preschool Director/Next Gen Admin

The Sunday Preschool Director/NextGen Administrator leads both ministry and operations for preschool, supporting children’s spiritual growth while equipping parents and volunteers. This role blends organization (curriculum, scheduling, supplies, communication) with hands-on leadership (recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, ensuring policies, and creating engaging classrooms). Working with the NextGen team, they help plan events and continually improve the ministry, requiring strong organization, a heart for families, and a passion for early childhood development.

  • - Assisting in communication of training and equipping of volunteers and parents

    - Assisting the discipleship team with administration

    - Taking notes and attending NextGen meetings

    - Printing and managing the curriculum for Sundays & Wednesdays

    - Manage curriculum and storage in auditorium

    - Managing supplies for teachers and classes

    - Printing/cutting handouts and activities for kids and families

  • - Check in with preschool parents to resource, encourage, and pray for parents

    - Partners with the NextGen Pastor in resourcing parents

    - Works alongside NextGen team during Phases and Milestones week

    - Partners with the NextGen Pastor for Child Dedication & Parent Commissioning

    - Check-in with parents (new and old)

    - Consistently researching preschool ministries, habits and developments in preschool/kids, and other trends or data to ensure the ministry continues to grow

    - Regularly evaluates the ministry to ensure growth and strategic alignment

    - Plan, cast vision, and create goals for the preschool ministry that align with NextGen and the mission/vision of the church

    - Add and instill creative and engaging elements in the preschool areas of classes, hallways, and other major visual areas that align with NextGen’s vision.

    - Ensure curriculum is being used in classes

    - Ensure all policy and procedures are being followed

    - Lead out by instilling NextGen values and NextGen mission into the classes and programs

    - Properly staff and resource all classes and classroom leaders according to the teacher:child ratio

    - Recruit and encourage volunteers and ensure they are property trained

    - Manage curriculum and create condensed lesson plans and suggested schedules for

    classes

    - Provide childcare for first Wednesdays

    - Provide juice and snacks for Sundays and Wednesdays

    - Reset and clean rooms for weekday preschool

  • - Prep/Leadership of Kids Camp

    - Help prep for Caswell

    - Prep for any classes/teachings for parents and families

  • - Ensure all events, church wide meetings and Life Groups requiring childcare are adequately staffed

    - Create lesson plans and agendas for events with childcare

    - Track, report and approve all childcare worker hours and send to Executive Director of Administration

  • - Early childhood development education preferred

    - Strong technology skills

    - Possess a solid biblical foundation

    - Growing, yet mature follower of Christ

    - Ability to recruit and lead other highly motivated volunteers

    - Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Facilities Director

The Facilities Director leads all aspects of building and grounds operations to create safe, excellent, and ministry-ready environments. This role ensures that every space supports worship, discipleship, and community engagement—because ministry drives facilities.

  • • Perform routine maintenance (HVAC filters, plumbing, lighting, repairs, painting)

    • Maintain tools, equipment, and organized storage areas

    • Oversee cleaning services and facility upkeep

    • Manage long-term maintenance planning

    Sunday & Ministry Support

    • Prepare all spaces for weekly services (temperature, seating, cleanliness)

    • Ensure sanctuary and classrooms are fully ready

    • Be available during Sunday services for facility needs

    • Coordinate room setups and ministry requirements

    Events & Special Services

    • Set up and tear down tables/chairs for events

    • Support major services (Easter, Christmas, baptisms)

    • Coordinate facility needs with pastors and ministry leaders

    Grounds & Campus Oversight

    • Manage landscaping, mowing, and outdoor spaces (including Grace Park)

    • Oversee vendor contracts (HVAC, pest control, etc.)

    • Maintain playgrounds, pavilion, and common areas

    • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and visual excellence across campus

    Administration & Budget

    • Manage facilities budget and expenses

    • Maintain inventory and coordinate repairs

    • Oversee contractors and service providers

    Emergency Response

    • Be on-call for facility-related emergencies

  • • Experience in facilities, maintenance, or related field

    • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs

    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to manage vendors and multiple projects

    • Willingness to work Sundays and occasional evenings

    • Alignment with the mission and values of Grace Community Church
