Our Mission Is To Make Disciples who...

Exalt Christ

At Grace We Value

  • This is why we practice Bible-centered teaching and preaching and Christ-centered worship. All of our sermons and songs are from Scripture and about God, specifically his work in Christ Jesus. We believe that all of Scripture is about Jesus: the Old Testament predicts or prepares for Christ. The New Testament is a result or reflection of Christ.

    2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12, John 12:32

  • We believe God works from the inside out. God specializes in taking a heart of stone and replacing it with a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 32). This is why we talk about positive life change. No one is too hard for God! It is also why we focus on grace-filled families and singles. God saves and keeps us by his grace, no matter our age or stage in life. It is also why we emphasize biblical fellowship, small groups of people (Life Groups) meeting around God’s Word holding one another accountable. It’s also why we’re convinced that God uses disciples to make disciples. One changed life dramatically affects another changed life.

    Ephesians 2:8-10, Acts 2:42-47, 2 Timothy 2:2

  • Jesus modeled servant leadership. He did not come to be served but to serve. He loved deeply. He served the disciples, washing their feet when they should have washed his. Jesus practiced servant evangelism, meeting a need so others could meet him. He taught and fed the crowds. Jesus practiced intercessory prayer, putting the needs of others ahead of his own.

    Matthew 20:26-28, Matthew 25:35-36, James 5:16

Our Beliefs

  • The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation to man. Since the Bible is inspired by a Holy and perfect God, it is completely trustworthy and true; the final authority on all matters. All Scripture is a testimony to Jesus Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation. From Genesis to Revelation The Bible has one hero: Jesus.

    Psalm 19:7-10; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21

  • We believe that God is the Creator of everything and that he exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is completely transcendent, while also knowable and personal.

    Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; Hebrews 1:2-3

  • We believe that the gospel is the central truth of the Bible and the foundation of our faith. The gospel is the good news that while we were dead in our sin, God sent his son Jesus to live a perfect life on our behalf, die a substitutionary death to pay the penalty for our sin, and rise again from the grave to offer us new life in his Spirit.

    1 Corinthians 15:3-8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 2:1-10

  • Man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. He created male and female as the crowning work of His creation. The gift of gender is thus part of the goodness of God's creation. We believe that God created us in his image to worship him and give him glory. This is true of both men and women, who are equal and complementary partners in God's mission and reflect his glory.

    Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 2:18; Psalm 8:3-6

  • Salvation involves the redemption of the whole person from the sinful state and condition of mankind, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration (new birth), sanctification (continued growth), and glorification (abiding in heaven with God).

    Genesis 3:15; John 3:16; Romans 8:1-18; Revelation 21:1-7

  • We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. As such, every believer should be identified with a local church for the purpose of mutual encouragement, spiritual growth, and accountability. The Church is God’s Plan A and there is no Plan B.

    Matthew 16:15-19; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:11-16

  • Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.

    Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 14: 22-26; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29
