Group Leader

Being a group leader may cause you to step way out of your comfort zone, and guess what? That’s ok! You see, group leaders are the face to face contact with the kids who come to Kids Camp. You will represent Grace Community Church and more importantly, Jesus Christ to these kids. Your job consists of getting the kids from station to station, herding the sheep in certain places, and leading family time. Family time is an opportunity for you to share the gospel with the kids and allow them to interact by asking questions on what the lesson is about. Last year, we had 17 kids come to faith in Christ through the group leaders sharing the gospel with them. This is worth it, and I’m excited to get started.

Registration

The registration team is one of the most important teams we have. This team makes sure that all the children who comes through our doors are accounted for. This team will check kids in at the beginning of the night and double check as the night goes on that all the kids are where they need to be. This team has a lot of preparation to do before camp begins. This means that you have to get here early each night before the kids arrive. Amber Ellis is your leader, and she can answer all the questions you have for this team.

Recreation

The recreation team has the most fun of all the teams. They just get to play outside the whole time! Part of your responsibility is to have the games for each night already picked out and ready for the kids. This crew has to have a fun attitude and willingness to be outside with the kids. This year, the rec field is in a different location because of our building project. The field is up above the Youth Building. Don’t worry, you are still close to all the food. Corey and Elizabeth MacKinnon are your leaders!

Medical

The medical team is the team who is on call in case there is a medical need. You will be placed under a red tent in the middle of campus so that you are easily accessible. This team needs nurses, doctors, and even EMS personnel. You are more than welcome to join in activities at Kids Camp, and we encourage you to. But you are the ones we come to for emergencies! Kathy Smothers is your leader and she can answer questions that you may have.

Security

Hey guys, the food team is the most loved team at Kids Camp. You provide us with the nourishment we need to get through camp. We literally can’t do it without you. This team requires that you can get to camp early before kids arrive to begin preparation of the food and the Pavilion where the kids will eat. A food team member must have a hospitable heart to serve all the kids and volunteers at Kids Camp. Your team leader is Kori Elliott, and she can answer any questions that you may have.

Preschool

The preschool team takes care of kids from 2 year olds to 5 year olds. They play fun games, have bible lessons, and eat all together in the same place. The Youth Building is completely dedicated for the preschool kids so that they can have all the space they need. A preschool team member needs to be fun and patient. Leslie Hester is your team leader, and she can answer any questions that you may have.
