Ministry Blitz

A Non-Profit Community Ministry that provides a working farm experience that teaches responsibility, builds Christian character and self-esteem for kids in Foster Care, kinship care or crisis situations. On Saturday, October 5 during the Grace Ministry Blitz you can come alongside the Hope 29:11 participants and Mentors and help with numerous projects on the farm. Projects include: helping kids clean stalls and paddock areas, painting a barn, cut brush & small trees and enclosing a barn room.

Location: Burgin Family Farm

A ministry that assembles and distributes feminine hygiene kits to girls and women around the world alongside much needed health education. During the Grace Ministry Blitz you will have a chance to cut, pin and stack different elements that will later be sewn and assembled. Anyone is welcome to come learn more about this ministry that enables girls to stay in school. Every Girl. Everywhere. Period.

Thousands of children are in the Foster Care System. They are waiting for a family to call them theirs. We are collecting items they will need for the winter. The winter care packages will include hats, gloves, scarves, socks, lotion and chapstick. Any of those items you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Those items will be distributed to children across our region. Drop off time for the items will be October 5th from 9am-1pm at the Youth Building.

Time: 9:00 am –  1:00 pm

Location: The YC Building

Our local shelter is in need of several products. Funding for this organization is limited, so they are unable to keep stock of everyday items. We will be collecting toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant and other hygiene products. The products will be delivered to the shelter on October 5th.

Housing is a huge issue in our county. Many people struggle to keep up with the repairs needed to keep their home safe and dry. We try to assist at least 6 individuals/families per year to improve the conditions of their home. On October 5th, we will put metal roofing on 2 homes. We will need skilled workers and non-skilled workers. We will meet at 7:00 am at the church and then go to the work sites to include two small housing/yard projects.

Time: 7:00 am – ?

Location: The main building at Grace

GracePark is used by multiple families every Saturday for birthday parties. Bring your gloves, a pitchfork, and even wheelbarrow. We will pull weeds, spread mulch and tidy up the park. We will also work around the Youth Building and Offices.

Time: 9:00 am -12:00 pm (if we get finished!)

We will be splitting and distributing firewood to individuals in need throughout the community. If anyone has a chainsaw or wood splitter, be sure to bring it along. It will truly be a great day!
